NeroAnima was supposed to go by her parents today to feed the fish and take in the mail, as her parents are out of town on vacation.
So I tagged along, so I get play around with my bow some more. It was frigging amazing because this is the first time I've ever gone home with MORE arrows than I went in with. Actually, I think almost every single time I've gone I lose at least one or two arrows, and these damn things are fiber glass (running at 50 kronor a pop, 6-7 dollars).
Anyhow, I shot my bow a week or two ago, and I lost one or two arrows that day too. Seriously folks,... if you've never used a bow and arrow out on a field with moderate length grass, you have no frigging idea how damn hard it is to find your arrows. Even with colored fins, they are sometimes completely hidden under grass, since they dig and slide in very well. You could walk over them countless times and probably never know it.
I go to the same place around her parents place each time, which turned out to work in my favor today! They had mowed the lawn in that area, and I wasn't even there for more than 2 minutes before I found one of the arrows I lost last time! Not only that, but I positioned my target differently this time, so if I missed it would probably land on some dirt area instead, allowing me to see the arrows easier.
After that we barbecued at her parents house with one of them little "one time" use BBQ kits. I wasn't very hungry, so I ate less than half of the meat I brought, but it still tasted good and was fun. Nero just BBQed some of the tomatoes her parents grew and had those to her taters.
